Epitope Driven Opsonic mAb Against Treponema pallidum BamA Using EPIVOLVE
Syphilis is a sexually transmitted infection caused by the highly immunoevasive spirochete Treponema pallidum. Using the in vitro EPIVOLVE method with a phage display library we generated an epitope driven murine mAb with opsonic activity directed against a subdominant epitope on the extracellular loop of the T. pallidum surface protein BamA.
